How to determine your MAC address

MacOS X

1. Click the System Preferences icon located in the Dock and choose Network.
2. Select Built-in Ethernet from the menu on the left.
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. Select the Ethernet tab.
5. The Ethernet ID field contains the hardware address.

Windows Vista, 2000, and Windows XP

1. Click Start, type cmd in the Search box, and press ENTER.
2. Type ipconfig /all at the prompt and press ENTER.
3. Under Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection, the Physical address field contains the hardware address.
