Controlled Burn Along the Western Site on June 5
The first image (BurnW01) shows the western burn site as seen from the east end. Image BurnW05 shows Don and Judy Mason, who assisted in controlling visitors to the burn and in providing logistical support. This help freed me from these details so I could to focus on the actual burn. Thanks Don and Judy!
The beginning of the burn takes placed in the north end was under several oaks. There are a few dramatic images of the smoke billowing through the trees. Especially notable are images BurnW31, BurnW34-35, and BurnW36.
In some of the images you can get a sense of of flame lengths because of nearby 8' fence posts (for instance, BurnW54).
The last images show the end of burn mop-up with the last image of Scott Stephens in the burn site taking final notes.
