October 2020 Evening Lecture Series: Assessing the status of birds at Jasper Ridge and engaging students through the MERO Science Program

In the first part of this talk, Tyler will present the new analysis of long-term volunteer bird monitoring data from Jasper Ridge to quantify the status of bird populations in the region. He will also introduce Menlo-Atherton Ecology Research Outdoors (MERO), an after school outdoor education program for high school English Language Learners. Tyler will present how MERO engages students at Jasper Ridge and elsewhere through community building and skill building.
