Education Overview
We are a vibrant learning community in an exceptional 1,193 acre classroom
Jasper Ridge hosts a vibrant and diverse education program. Several classes are hosted here at Sun Field Station during the academic year, including our long-standing docent training program that has evolved into the field science course BIO/EARTHSYS 105 "Ecology and Natural History of Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve." Stanford classes, local colleges and universities, local high schools, members the public, and the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe all come to Jasper Ridge for our docent-led tours and educational programs. We host a community lecture series during the academic year and our docent-led Continuing Education group offers programs for our Jasper Ridge affiliates.
