Hosting an event at Jasper Ridge offers a unique opportunity to gather within an active biological preserve. Please review the event policies to ensure your gathering supports the integrity of this natural environment.

Jasper Ridge Event Policies and Guidelines

Jasper Ridge Regulations

Events must adhere to Jasper Ridge regulations designed to protect both visitors and natural resources:

  1. No Smoking
  2. No introduction or collection of plants or animals, including:
    1. Pets and service animals
    2. Floral arrangements or centerpieces
  3. Visitors must remain on designated roads, parking areas
  4. Bicycles and vehicles must follow speed limits and yield to pedestrians and wildlife on preserve roads
  5. Rideshares must pick up and drop off at the main gate
  6. Events must comply with Stanford policies, including photography and catering
Hours of Operation

Events must adhere to the designated start and end time. 

Extended hours may be available and will be subject to an additional fee.

Shared Space

The Field Station remains open to research, education, and stewardship activities. Please be mindful of sharing facilities outside of the reserved space.

Capacity

Indoor spaces in the Field Station accommodate groups of 10-80 people. 

Visitor parking accommodates 25 vehicles.

Waste Removal

All groups serving food must coordinate waste removal. 

Waste bin delivery is available through PSSI for event trash, recycling, and compost.

Docent-Led Hiking Tours

Tours may be scheduled in advance, dependent on docent availability. Please allow 1.5 - 2 hours. 

Self-guided hiking is not permitted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 30 days of the event will be charged 50% of the rental fee.

Full refunds will be issued in the event of an emergency requiring a preserve closure.
