The 2014–15 academic year was a busy one for the Jasper Ridge education program and included classes from Stanford as well as other colleges and universities, local high schools and middle schools, teacher workshops, citizen science, public tours, continuing education events and more. All of this added up to a tremendous amount of teaching and learning in our exceptional 1,193 acre classroom.
JRBP is a big place with a small staff so collaboration is one of our keys to success. Some important strategies include: tiered mentoring, talented volunteers and like-minded colleagues both within the university and in the greater community. Collaboration is especially important in the implementation of the JRBP outreach programs, teacher workshops and promoting student participation in research.
