Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve in the Twittersphere last week
Last week JRBP researchers and staff presented their work at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco, an event that draws tens of thousands of scientists, educators, and students from around the world to learn about the newest research in earth and environmental sciences. And a Jasper Ridge photo won first place in the Stanford Earth photo contest! Here’s how Twitter reported the news. Congratulations Allison, Jorge, Emily, and Jullia!
Jorge Ramos teamed up with Lisa White from UC Berkeley to tell about the great work that the Coalition for the Public Understanding of Science (COPUS) is engaged in.
Emily LaCroix talked about her work on soil carbon at JRBP.
And, in related news, docent Julia Goolsby won first place in the Lab Category of the Stanford Earth Photo Contest for her photo, Say Cheese, that highlights Natasha Batista using a microscope to photograph and insect specimen at Jasper Ridge.
