STEWARDSHIP

As a continuation of our fuel reduction efforts, which began last fall, pile burning along Westridge has tentatively been scheduled for the week of March 4, 2024. We have been working closely with both CAL FIRE and Woodside Fire Protection District, as well as our consulting Burn Boss in preparing for the burn, including logistics, weather conditions, and safety. Both fire agencies will be visiting in early February to review the site and finalize the burn permitting. Please stay tuned for more updates as Stanford begins rolling out more information about burning next month. In the meantime, please review our initial announcements from Stanford University and from Jasper Ridge

Thanks to our docents that led tours in the month of December: Klaus Porzig, Adelaide Nye, Bob Siegel, Catherine Magill, Sally Jackson, Deb Fitz, Cheryl Schaffer, Dawn Neisser and Mary Bernstein. As always, thanks to Seth for helping with the tours!
