2023-2024 Year in Review
December 31, 2024
Dear Jasper Ridge Community,
As we approach the new year of 2025, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for the many ways you have supported Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve ('Ootchamin 'Ooyakma).
Because of your contributions, we accomplished significant milestones in 2024. We have continued to lead in innovative research and education to understand Earth's natural systems, while also providing a safe and welcoming space for discovery, discussion, and community engagement. In celebrating Jasper Ridge’s 50th anniversary, we hosted three memorable events that showcased our ongoing commitment to research, education and stewardship, which have flourished in many inspiring ways. As we look forward to a vibrant 2025, our excitement grows with the promise of new achievements and discoveries.
I invite you to reflect on our accomplishments and see how far we have come by reviewing our digital collection of JRBP ('O'O) Newsletters. The monthly newsletters highlight our efforts across research, education, and stewardship pillars and underscore the Indigenous focus championed by our Faculty Director, Professor Tad Fukami.
As I compiled the newsletter collection, I was struck by the remarkable work we can achieve together as a community. It fills me with hope to witness our collective growth and continued dedication year after year.
I look forward to seeing you at the ridge in 2025.
Thank you, gracias, from your friend,
Jorge Ramos
